This morning Apple released the latest iteration of its video editing suite, a massive, from-the-ground-up, 64-bit rewrite of the original that incorporates a number of long-overdue features, all intended to speed up the editing process. Full multi-core support, background rendering, people detection, image stabilization and support for high-definition 4K video have all been built into the $299 app, which Apple is distributing exclusively through the Mac App Store. Also new today, Motion 5 and Compressor 4, available for $49.99 each from the Mac App Store. However, Final Cut Express and Server are no longer available
